Can art really create a revolution and change the world?
At least in the Mekong River Basin, there are artists and creators who have not yet abandoned this idea and hope.
“擺渡湄公” will take you on a voyage to the Mekong to meet some of these artists and practitioners, and get to know how they have used art as a medium to build community-civic awareness (社區公民意識) and promote social transformation. This series of talks will also bring together creative strategies that go beyond censorship.
Six evenings, ten lectures and screenings, and eleven speakers’ experiences will lead to a different path of Southeast Asian studies and contemporary political and social imagery.
