Floral Art Demonstration by Wu, Hsin-I
For this floral art performance, the featured artist Wu Hsin-I draws upon the traditions of the Eigetsu Koryū (映月古流) school. In his early years, he studied under Professor Yu Bi (余碧), a master of the Eigetsu lineage, and has since accumulated over three decades of experience in floral practice and teaching. Wu has gradually developed an independent creative voice, integrating innovations drawn from multiple artistic disciplines into his work.
In addition to floral art, Wu is an accomplished painter and photographer. Earlier in his career, he worked professionally as an interior designer until his recent retirement. This diverse background has enabled his works to bring together the aesthetics of floral art, painting, spatial art, and photography into a holistic form of expression. In recent works, he further incorporates the rhythmic lines of dance, infusing still floral compositions with a sense of movement and vitality.
