廣電系邀請澳洲 Flinders 大學之博士後研究員 Tetsuroh Teageue Kimura 先生來臺,研究期間為 113 年 8 月至 10 月,共計 3 個月。

為學者、作家、記者與翻譯家,研究專長為藝術和文化史、時尚研究、亞洲/日本研究和國際關係。
Flinders University and the University of South Australia, supplemented by coursework completed at the University of East Anglia (UK) and Pukyong National University (South Korea).
Professionally bilingual, Dr. Kimura holds a NAATI qualification for translation / interpreting between English and Japanese. He offers his expertise as a Japanese language interpreter for governmental sectors, private organisations, and the media industry. Currently, he is studying Chinese in his spare time.
With an extensive teaching background, Dr. Kimura has shared his expertise internationally at institutions like Flinders University (Australia), Fukuoka Women’s University (Japan), and National Chengchi University (Taiwan).
As a journalist, Dr. Kimura reported from Baghdad in 2004 and covered the last five Australian federal elections for the Japanese Mainichi national newspaper.
Dr. Kimura’s involvement includes creating English subtitles for internationally-acclaimed Japanese director Kuro Tanino’s The Dark Master at the 2019 OzAsia Festival and curating an exhibition of art by Japanese internees from Australasian camps at the Showa no Kurashi Museum in Tokyo in 2022.
Currently, he is diligently working on his upcoming book based on his paper presented at the European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS) Conference (The End of Fashion Conference) in Japan entitled Fashion, Soft Power, and Cultural Diplomacy: A Case Study of Japanese Fashion in Australia.
